Pole Orientation

This class focuses on simple choreography, just like a hip hop dance class would. You will not learn any weight bearing tricks during this class, but you will learn the mechanics of how tricks work and the timing. The choreography for this class repeats week after week. Beginners can take this class as many times as they like until they are comfortable. We feel that these classes are important for anybody who has never touched a pole before or feels as if they are not a good dancer. We offer these classes by appointment in order to ensure that you can start your pole dancing for fitness program as soon as you want to.

Pole Foundation


This class is a pre-requisit
e for any intermediate or advanced class.

If you are a current pole position student taking 101 or higher and have not taken this series you will need to take it. We are offering it in a 1 hour workshop style on Saturdays at 8:45 so you can complete it in 1 or 2 classes, rather than 5 weeks.

At Pole Position there are 5 Foundation Movements
1. Inside Planted Leg
2. Outside Planted Leg
3. Inside Hooked Leg
4. Blind Hand Grab
5. Climbing

Each week we focus on one of the 5 foundation movement. Each movement is rotated weekly. Participation in this class will ensure your success in classes like our Pole 101 classes.

There is no routine to follow.

Appropriate for Beginners

Pole 101

This class focuses on simple choreography, just like a hip hop dance class would. During the choreography portion of the class you will learn 2 or 3 Pole Tricks, Transitions and Filler. You will learn a new routine every class. Pole Foundation is the pre-requisite for this class.

Appropriate for Beginners/Intermediates
45 minute duration

Pole 201

This class is exactly like our Pole 101 class, but is 1 hour in duration and incorporates 5 Pole Tricks based on our 5 foundation movements, as well as Transitions and Filler. You will learn a new routine every class. Pole Foundation and Pole 101are the pre-requisite for this class.

Appropriate for Intermediate Participants
1 hour duration

Pole 301

This class is exactly like a Pole 101 class, but incorporates more complex choreography, unlimited advanced tricks, transitions and filler. Intermediate/Advanced Tricks and Pole 201 are the pre-requisites for this class and you must be advanced to this class by the studio manager or owner.

1 hour duration

 

Simple Tricks

In this class you will learn 3 to 4 tricks. 1 variation of each of the pole foundation movements.

Each trick will be broken down from the primary foundation movement and developed from there.

Pole Foundation is a pre-requisite for this class.

There is no routine to follow.

Appropriate for Beginners/Intermediate

Intermediate Pole Tricks
     Learn 3 Pole Tricks Each Class
     Inverted Tricks may be taught
     Focuses on Form, Safety and Technique
     No Routine to Follow
     You must be advanced to this class by the studio manager or owner   

For each trick a beginners, intermediate and advanced variation will be taught.

Appropriate for Advanced Participants

Advanced Pole Tricks
     Learn 3 Pole Tricks Each Class
     Inverted and Advanced Climbing Tricks may be taught
     Focuses on Form, Safety and Technique

Burlesque Dance Class
This is a creative dance class. Taken from the style of the famous dance troupe; we use chairs, boas, blankets, cushions, etc. to create fun choreography for our participants.

VH1 Video Dance Class & GoGo Dance

This is a high energy dance class like a hip hop dance class that focuses on Body Isolations. This class is not only a great workout, but is also a great way to learn new nightclub dance techniques.
